Privacy policy
Auron Sports is run by its team ("we"). This explains what we collect when you use Auron Sports, why, where it is kept, and your choices. Questions: heyajaykumar@hotmail.com.
What we collect
- Your account: how you sign in (your email address, or your Google account id and the email it shares with us), your name, home emirate, the sports you play and, if you add one, a profile photo and who may see it.
- Clubs and matches: the clubs you create or join and your role in them, the email addresses you invite people with, matches and lineups (including names of guests you add), and every score recorded, point by point.
- Ratings: a rating per sport worked out from scored results. Your profile (name, emirate, sports, ratings, and photo if you allow it) is public by default: other players can find it by name and it appears on leaderboards. Turn Public profile off in Settings and only people in your clubs see it.
- Club ledgers, if your club uses them: expenses and who owes whom, and payments you record between members. Money moves between you directly; we never hold it.
- Your device: a random id for each phone you sign in on, its platform, and when it was last used, so you can see and sign out your devices.
- Logs: technical records of requests (without sign-in codes or passwords) to keep the service running and secure.
We don't show ads, we don't sell personal data, and we don't use it to build advertising profiles.
Why
To provide the service you ask for (scoring, clubs and matches), to keep accounts secure, to answer you when you contact us, and to meet legal obligations. Live scores of matches your club makes public can be followed by anyone with the link.
Who sees what
Members of your clubs see your name and, unless you chose "Only me", your photo. Your email address isn't shown to other players (club owners see the address they invited). People in a match see its lineup and score. Club owners and admins manage members and matches. Our team sees what it needs to support you and keep Auron safe, and every action in our console is logged.
Where it is kept
Your data is stored in the United Arab Emirates (Microsoft Azure, UAE North), and sign-in codes and invites are emailed through Microsoft Azure. If you sign in with Google, Google confirms who you are.
How long
While your account exists. When you delete it, your name, photo, email, Google link, memberships, devices and ratings are removed. Records other people rely on (scorecards and club ledgers) stay and show "Former player". Deleted photos are purged from storage after 7 days, and backups roll off within 35 days.
Your choices
- Edit your profile, photo visibility and whether your profile is public at any time.
- Delete your account in the app (Me → Settings → Delete my account) or on the web: how to delete your account.
- Ask for a copy of your data, or to correct it, by writing to heyajaykumar@hotmail.com.
Children
Auron Sports is for people aged 13 and over. If you think a child under 13 has an account, tell us and we will remove it.
Security
Sign-in codes are stored only in hashed form and expire in 5 minutes; Google sign-ins are checked against their signatures; sessions are short-lived and tied to your device; data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before it applies.
